Seminoma of the Cryptorchildism

Abstract
|
|
|
This is a case report of the seminoma found in cryptorchid in a 48 years old male. Review of literature indicates that the incidence of malignancy in cryptorchidism is greater than normally descended testicle. In this case, the mass was noticed in the left inguinal area for 3 months, and the patient once diagnosed as cryptorchidism of the left side. Grossly the mass was hen´s egg in size and firm in consistency. The mass was well encapsulated and cut surface revealed white grayish color.
Histologic findings showed typical serninoma with monotonous cellular appearance and lymphocytic infiltration in the stroma. Capsular invasion of the tumor cell was histologically demonstrated.
